1960's Vintage Apollo Drum Set Last viewed: 11 hours ago

EMAIL ME for more Pictures : $399.95

A great Find from an Estate Purchase....... 60's Era Apollo Drum set including the following drums 21" Bass Drum ; 17" Floor Tom ; 13" & 14" mounted toms ; 15" Snare Drum; Drum exteriors are in pretty good shape for the year, Nice Swirl with some marks but overall pretty decent, I did not attempt to clean as I have no idea what to use and did not want to ruin this beautiful set. The Chrome rings show some surface rust and again .. I did not attempt to clean , they may clean up nice. The Throne looks to be original and all there , however I have sat on sturdier seats before. The Hi-Hat works but needs a small screw to hold the back (Heel) side of the pedal to the support bar. The cymbals on the Hi-Hat are 14" and I can see markings showing they are from England ( but don't see a maker) .. They surely look vintage probably fromt he same era as well as the Hi-Hat itself. The Ride cymbal again looks to be from the same vintage era and all I can read on it is West Germany, so I am not sure of the maker. I assume the stand for the ride is original era and probably the one with the set. The only thing I know that is missing is the Snare Stand. I used one from another drum set for PICTURE PURPOSES ONLY. It is not included in the sale. Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding. The Drum Set is located near Ann Arbor Michigan and you are welcome to come and inspect it or pick it up after purchase to save shipping. Otherwise here is the shipping options

Option One - Pick it up near Ann Arbor Michigan

Option two - I will pack and Ship for a flat rate of $99.95 to 48 United States only (Not Alaska or Hawaii)

Welcome to the forum. You may wish to view the thread below, since it appears that the set you are selling was discussed in the non-USA section earlier this month. Another member mentioned that he was interested in the drums:

Hi bjbpetty!

I grew up in Blissfield, MI(near Adrian) just about 30 miles due South of the great city of Ann Arbor.

Would you be interested in selling me just the cymbal stand (not the cymbal)? I am having a hard time finding one of those to match one of my kits and that is exactly the kind I need.

In my humble opinion (and you can ask those around here), you could still ask the same price for the kit without the cymbal stand; I don't think it would be a deal breaker to anyone looking at the kit to purchase it. Most of us already have our own hardware, and if the hardware is not American or Premier, it is typically not in high demand. I am not trying to be "sale-sy" or scam you in anyway. If you would rather not part it out that's totally cool. I just need this stand to match one of my Japan kits and thought I would ask.

Let me know and thanks! GO BLUE!

Those drums came from shopgoodwill.com in Grandville, MI, not from an estate sale. The same kit, and he drove over and picked them up for near nothing. They are really worth maybe $100, since there are parts missing, such as some hoops and t-rods and it needs new heads all around. The t-rods are really incredibly hard to find as this is a Star kit and they used odd sized rods on their drums.

We are not the idiots he thinks we are, we know where the drums are. That is a fairly rare wrap color and it was discussed here already.
