After looking around, would it be correct to say that the oldest drum company of the well known USA brands would be Rogers? Followed by Gretsch; then Leedy and finally Ludwig?

I think you've got it right troutstudio, and Slingerland drums came after Ludwig.
Late 50s Black Nitron 3 Ply Gretsch 13/16/20 w/ Max Roach Snare
Rogers being the oldest and the cream of the crop! Camco was 61 to mid 70s right?
I would have thought Leedy?
Not sure about the oldest US drum company but the oldest drum company worldwide is Sonor.
I always forget what an old company Rogers was. I do know Slingerland began drum making in 1928 and Ludwig in 1909.
Gretsch says "Since 1883"
Noble & Cooley made drums for the Civil War......1861-65?
Leedy started 1898. Noble & Cooley 1854

Technically, you are asking which of the big name brands, currently or formerly in business, came first? Rogers, Sling out of business.
If it's which of the big names have been in operation the longest number of years would it be Gretsch?
