Call me cynical, but that badge is just too high. I don't think that the top head is cranked that tight. I think that's a B/O badge snare that had the emblem removed and replaced with the keystone badge. Do some checking on past sold keystone and B/O and you'll see what I mean......

Here is a shot of a keystone Acro I was looking at in my favorite pawn shop. Clearly a line drawn across the top of the large part of the keystone would line up with the top of the lugs.

I don't think the seller of the snare had anything to do with the modifications, they sell all kinds of stuff. As for me, I am working on getting a Acrolite B/O badge snare locally for $70.00 bucks, market value I believe, if not lower.

Have a closer look at the top tension rods on the eBay Acro. Compare to how much rod is showing on the bottom hoop. Also note the top mount of the throw - It's maybe 1/16" away from contacting the top heads rim. It's cranked.

So... do I win the bet? It sold for $87.99, but shipping added another $23.00 :)

As for the authenticity of the drum, did the keystone badge Acro's have the knob or bat type muffler adjustment (or both possibly)??

Use the lugs on each side of hole as a fixed point of reference for the hole location.

Draw a line between the tops of the lugs that are on each side of the grommet on both snares... ebay Acro the line passes through the hole.. pawn shop Acro the line passes above the hole.

The hole on the ebay Acro is clearly higher than the pawn shop Acro.

But the ebay hole placement does match the B/O badge Acro in this picture.

Maybe this was a "Monday" drum...
