They are all 3 ply shells. I would remove all the lugs and remove all the old wrap. if the old wrap looks intact you should be able to remove the old glue. There is a product called Xylene that will remove old adhesive and not hurt the wrap. Xylene is a extremly flamable solvent with almost toxic fumes. It works wondefully, but use outside or in a well ventilated area. You can get it at Lowes or Home depot. Restoring the original wrap is definatly the best thing you could possably do. Weather you want to keep these drums or sell them. the original wrapped drums are worth far more than anything else you could do to these. What are the diameters of these drums? looks like 22" bass drums and 16" floor toms and 13" tom
Well I know the black is a re wrap. The wood looks like a stain color or is that walnut wood.So do you think I should restore the 3 matching ones as a three piece. Or is the other 2 with clear a better route and use the 13" tom with the off with them.I am wondering if I can still save the original gold sparkle wrap on the three. Is there something that would take the adhesive glue off without hurting the original wrap.
