In no way "vintage" but a cool offering from Sonor at the NAMM show.

But with square heads of tension rods.....
Ah... but there ARE vintage in their build and shell make-up! SONOR has jumped on the vintage band wagon, and they are BEAUTIFUL! Sound GREAT too! I caught Steve Smith at the Chicago Drum Show back in May, and he was playing a full set of SONOR Vintage Series drums in WMP. Here they are... have a look!
Tommyp
The one thing that they cannot recreate (well, they could if they really wanted to, but it would be very expensive) are the teardrop era hoops, which many often mistake as diecast, when in fact they're stamped. Other than things like spurs, T-rods and claws, tom mounts, leg brackets, and snare throws, they're an accurate recreation of the 6-ply era, only with modern features.
I have the original 65 Drops in WMP, and if these new drums sound anything like the old ones, you,re in for a treat if your considering buying a new kit!!
Some very limited snares,...WOW. First is Pacific Walnut, second is called Poison wood. 80 will be made.

I`m not 100% sure but I think they will drill and trim to order, like Phonic, teardrop, SQ2 and so on. I`ll find out for sure.
