That is very cool. Thank you for taking the time to find it. First fields to come to mind to vote on: Sound and Looks.

I'll go #5 for sound #2 for looks.

Happy BTW this will be arriving soon. Don'y worry the P-85 will be gone ASAP :-)

The clip just showed up on a FB page by coincidence.. ( so I was not actually looking ). I do like the Slingerland too... But has given me the idea to throw a Sticksaver batter rim on my Acro and give it a run...

Have not seen that copper finish before.. guess it's anodised...

Cheers

John

Haven't either. My guess as well, update upon arrival. Funny, can just play this drum. Most I buy are a mess and get torn down. Re-assembly does not always happen soon :-)

I bought an 8-lug like this to use all the hardware to build a snare. The hoops were Brass and once I stripped it, I never re-assembled it. The shell somehow bent OOR while in storage. I removed the B/G badge and decided to trash it. (nobody wanted to buy it!) But - decided to compact it first and wow, that shell was very thin - very easy to bend up/fold in half several times. So, if you own one of these, be extra careful with the shell.

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

Copper one arrived. With the exception of the P-85 it is mint. Two piece shells. Outer layer looks and feels like copper plate. Slingerland Niles cranked out 36,423 snares in between these two :-)

Would be nice to have COB rims for both. That may take awhile. Pics.
