I recently bought a bunch of heads from a guy and included in them were several 11 1/4'' heads. Any idea what these would be for? I have a set of vintage Premier's and I thought they might fit, but they are too small. Maybe Trixon, or? Ideas?

I did have an old, no-name solid copper timbale about a year ago that took an 11" head. It was beyond restorable so I just sold it (and 3 others) to the scrap guy for the copper...
Other than that, I haven't a clue. Do they make Banjos that size?

Tama had an 11 inch drum and I also have a couple of heads in this size, as well as some 17 inch heads.
Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

That's strange! There are banjos around this size, but the ones I have seen specify that they are for banjos on the head.
I have a couple different types in this size. Oh well, maybe I'll see if banjos could make use of these.
Thanks for the info guys!
