Rogers 14 inch floor toms are not easy to find 16x16 are a dime a dozen and Fullerton are the least collectable the early Fullerton with machined colletts and swivo hardware are good drums but i do not believe anyone would ever trade a 14x14 for a 16x16 ...just saying...

I would advise patience, due diligence, become a craigslist junkie, and maybe tomorrow........mayber four years from now, your ship will come in. Buy a lottery ticket the day it does, because luck like that doesnt come round often.

I got my 1414 floor tom for 300 bucks that way. Oh..... the lottery ticket was a bust.

Why are fullerton the "least" collectible? theyre still really good drums. Better than ludwig and still quality rogers...

To point you to the rather long winded and very complex answer, pick up The Rogers Book and read it. It gives a somewhat convoluted account of the Rogers story as told by insiders who were there. The easy answer is really not enough to allow you to get the whole picture. There is one section called The Cancer Within ... to give you a taste. There are numerous and varied reasons ... way too many to list here.

Read and edify.

Good advice from RogerSling but like I said the early Fullerton drums with holiday tags were really Dayton drums carried over they had machined collets and were just better built after them the fullerton drum went to cast collets that did not last to long without cracking just one example of quality control..

Yeah, the cast collets are garbage and most fullerton drums have them. If you have a kit with cast collets I recommend replacing them all with the new machined stainless steel variety that this dude over by Milwaukee makes. He has em on ebay all the time. They rock. Otherwise you can look for originals on ebay but...they are more expensive and wouldn't be original to the kit anyway.
