HI, its the 4th, and yesterday I bought a 1776 continental army lacquer finish red and blue slingerland. The badge would indicate 54-69 (brass oval), Is this custom? Ive never seen or heard of one with a flag decal labled 76. Usually its an old flag with american eagle.
Thoughts? Might this be a custom from a fife corp?
oh sorry its either a marching snare or tom, does have a snare at bottom. Will get measurements if that helps, and since Im brand new, Ill try to load a pic....

I could be wrong, but to me it looks like a user refinish. Specifically looks like a lady did it around the bicentennial. Just my impression, nothing to support it.
