I've officially given up on my 18" bass drum dreams and now I'm ready to part with these items. 18" bass drum lifter kit includes a set of clip on hoop legs and batter side lifter mount. $35 shipped!

I too am trying to convert an 18"floor tom into a bass. Will this lift kit work if I leave the original metal rims on it or does it only work with wood rims?

These will only work on bass drum hoops. Bummer!
