1919-1920 Ludwig "Black Beauty" Prices Last viewed: 2 hours ago

I know there are a few of these out there... It's much easier to price an 8 lug or 10 lug Deluxe than a 6 lug. Although, they represent the top of the line for Ludwig in 1919... Anyone mind sharing what the value of such a drum in excellent condition would be?

Thanks!

I`ve seen them top off at 5,000. (excellent) Condition is everything. Some people get deals on close to excellent and pay 3 like Purdie. Depends on many variables and who is willing to out bid the next guy.

The 1919/20 may have a light bulb inside, don`t be scared to bloody death like Purdie was to try it out and turn it on. Don`t change it either, the collector will want original everything.

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

I sold a 6 lugger, 5x14 scroll pattern shell at Chicago show for 1500 bucks.

Average wear, no big scratches or dings.

I paid $2G's for mine and I sold it at the same price.
