:confused:Hello AgainCan anyone help identify part #21 from this 1912 Ludwig catalog?I've got one in my 1920's kit, but can't figure out what it's supposed to do.thanks once again.

See the little "loop" on the upper portion of the bass drum beater (part #13)? Well, part #18 attaches to it and the part #22 is where you mount a small cymbal and then that assembly attaches to the part in question (part #21) which, in turn, is mounted to the bass drum rim so that everything aligns to strike both cymbal and bass drum simultaneously.

Thanks again - too bad I'm missing that cymbal!

Still trying to decide what to do with the kit, it would be a shame just to put it back in storage and I don't think I can afford to have it restored.

Maybe a musical instrument museum would be interested -anybody have any thoughts?
