1920s Leedy "Multi Model" snare with original case Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Vintage Leedy Manufacturing "Multi Model" 6 x 15 snare drum with original Leedy case. Pretty sure the wood is Walnut. Based on the lugs and the strainer, this snare appears to date to 1923-1924. This snare has the "two screw" lugs. Around 1925 Leedy switched to "four screw" lugs. Don't think I've ever seen one of these with an original case. Might even be the original heads on it. Marked "Multi Model" on side of the top hoop. Stamped "16359" and "Made by Leedy Mfg Co. Indianapolis" on the inside. Handwritten "MM 90060 561 or MM 90060 56P" marked on the inside. Not bad looking for a 85+ year old snare. I can't imagine that there are many of these left and even fewer in such great condition.

It's a long shot that I'll find a local buyer for a collector piece like this going the craigslist route, so figured I'll give this forum a try. I'm open to all reasonable SERIOUS offers. If nothing else, maybe someone here can give me an idea of it's value and if all else fails...there's always Ebay. Thanks guys

BTW, I can email more pics if necessary.

I have an NOB Multi-Model that is probably the same vintage. 2 screw lugs and slotted rods.
