1930's Ludwig Universal Model Bass Drum Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Hey there,

I have what I believe is a 1930's Ludwig Bass Drum. This one is in alright shape, but its had its years of use! Some unique specs with this one is the hand painted Bass Head which shows a farm scene. Very high quality painting, and its still in remarkable shape. It also has a lighting rig inside of the bass, with what looks like the original cord, I'm sure this was an after-market modification, but I know my Great Uncle was in an orchestra, and i'm sure thats why he had the light. Let me know what you guys think, and help me identify this model!

Your Ludwig Universal bass drum is from the 1930's their maybe a stamped date inside the shell looking like this an example 3011 or something like this! the light was factory Installed to keep the tensions on the calfskin heads, the light would heat up and keep the heads at a certain temperature! also the head is not a factory head probably a band member or your great uncle, sweet drum!

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!
