I got it from a lady that found in the attic of the house she lives in. Who knows how long the thing was up there but at least we know it was kept some place dry. Her daughter was learning on it but they decided to sell so she could raise money for a "real kit" as she put it. LoLoLoLo Its seen better days for sure but is very salvageable. Most of the parts are there and even thought the shells have been painted it think they will clean up. Whoever painted didn't do any prep work so the paint is coming off pretty easy. I've been able to remove portions with my thumbnail and a credit card.

I will do 600 for VDF members and even though I prefer pickup I will consider shipping. Or if anybody is heading to Chicago I can hold the kit until you make the trip this spring. (I'm a couple hours north) I might also consider a trade if its something I'm in need of.

Friendly bump for a fellow Wisconsinite! I can't help but think of the history of this kit, I love it!

That set is seriously cool ! And in my opinion a good deal

Warning ... Avoid member statuscymbal here, vintage_collector on DFO , and americanpatriot10 on eBay. Email me for his name. All are the same shady guy who has burned me and a list of other members on both boards . He is also selling on Facebook too ..

That is a great kit, pretty much the same as my 1938's ( though I have an 11" & 13" tom )

I tried to sell mine and after a year decided to keep it, and bring it back to life. Been adding all the little details over the past few months such as period cowbell, cymbal holder,etc... I hope you have better luck moving yours. You don't come across these often, truly a piece of history. And they sound incredible.

18 Kits & 40+ snares..
