1941 Leedy Broadway Parallel Last viewed: 6 minutes ago

Hi, Everyone

Here is my latest Leedy restoration of a 1941 Broadway Parallel 8x14 White Marine Pearl snare drum. This drum is equipped with the very last and most complicated version of the Parallel snare system. I've restored dozens of Leedy snare drums but this was the first time I have worked with this strainer. Lots of very small parts! The mechanism works perfectly and each snare wire can be adjusted with a small screwdriver. The shell is a three ply mahogany and poplar composition. This drum marked the end of the Broadway Parallel line, which was discontinued after World War Two.

Special thanks to Mike Curotto for sending this drum my way!
