1958 WFL New Yorker Last viewed: 16 hours ago

Am pulling all of the era specific parts and pieces together then I will be taking it all apart to shine it up, re-skin it and bring it back to life. It has such a fantastic sound that it really deserves to be restored to new again. My wife calls it my mid-life crisis set since it is from the year I was born. Will update the picture once I have it back to new condition

That's the good stuff there! Great that you have the correct stands and so forth for it. About the only thing that really stands out of place is the black bass reso head. That looks like a fine project. Good luck!

Rod hit the nail on the head! I think that I am having a mid-life crisis but, it has very little to do with drums. Damn, drums are safer!

Just a drummer who loves all things about vintage drums! Nothing more, nothing less.

The New Yorker would have a 12 x 22 bass drum and no floor tom.

Some of the best sound drums are from that era.

Do I spy "transition" badges? That's a nice kit! Hope to see more photos once you get it all fixed up; not that it looks to need much
