Beautiful 1960's Ludwig Downbeat outfit in champagne sparkle
8" x 12" tom
14" x 14" floor tom
14" x 20" bass drum
5" x 14" supraphonic snare (super clean!)
drums are in excellent shape, vibrant wrap with tight seams, dual internal mufflers top and bottom with double front and back bass drum spurs.
the kit came from the original owner in CT who purchased the set when he was in his 20's from Manny's Music in NYC. he had the Manny's drum Tech move the rail from the 1 o clock position to dead center on top of the bass drum. the tech did an excellent professional job.
the rail is back at 1 o'clock and the additional holes have been filled with carriage bolts, internal nuts and washers.
the drums sound incredible, that 14" floor is gorgeous tuned high or low!
the BD hoops have their original inlays which show virtually no fade, the original champagne sparkle is gorgeous, the chrome is excellent with no rusting or pitting.
all in all the kit is beautiful, sounds great and is in awesome shape, a real winner!
