1960`s Rogers Pink Champagne Sparkle Dynasonic Last viewed: 1 hour ago

I had a choice in 1967 when i ordered my Rogers Pink Champagne Sparkle drum set.I chose to order the cob dyna instead of the wooden champagne sparkle dyna which of course would have matched my set of wrap choice.Cob`s were the hot item of the day and most of us were ordering those. In hindsight i made the wrong decision but i`m still happy with my 7 line cob dyna. But little did i realize at that time that the wood dyna 47 yrs later, would be worth more than my Rogers kit.No sob story here but a crystal ball back then would have been nice, lol. But then again...be careful what one wishes for.

My goodness! I am afraid if I bought that I would never play it. Beautiful drum and I guess I am the odd man out; I have always preferred wood snares vs metal. Even in the studio I record with wood snares most of the time. It was not until vintage drums that I even gave metal snares a chance.

That being said I wonder if it will fetch that? All market indicators are that things are going to slow down in the economy and new home sales fell again. Makes me think its again a buyers market.

I don't think that drum is going anywhere.

It is indeed a beautiful drum. If anyone is interested in that drum, I'd ask that seller a whole lot of questions prior to buying it. I didn't have the best buying experience with this guy. He neglected to include and disclose some rather blatant flaw/issue that he was well aware of with an item I bought from him a while back. It turned out to be quite the headache and waste of my time.
