Blair - once I have them in front of me, I'll take a bunch of 'before' shots and I'll be sure to include a good close-up of the tom mount set-up. Looks to be all metal in the first photo, no wood block.

Snare that age and in the condition described could be COB - I'd say you this is a good purchase. Looking forward to more pictures.

Update: Spoke to pocilja today. Sounds like a nice guy. We're all set to swap cash for drums sometime this week-end. I'll post some shots after I get them home.

I'm psyched... my first Sky Blue Pearl kit! I might be playing with a second band shortly and I'm going to need a kit that sounds good, looks good and that I won't be afraid to take out of the house. This one fits the bill perfectly!

Photos soon...

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I don't think so Jag... the guy mentions some pitting. The ad reads: "Snare is plated metal and shows some oxidation."

COB's don't pit. I'll be real happy with a run-of-the-mill supra.

We meet up tomorrow to do the deal. I've spoken to him on the phone a few times, seems like a genuinely nice guy. I'm looking forward to meeting him and bringing home my new/old toys.

Photos and a report on condition as soon as I'm home.

Safe travels...

Hey John,

Speaking of sky blue pearl, I picked up a PDP CX kit for my nephew and it looks very similar to the Ludwig SBP. It might just have a little more blue tint to it, but its a really cool color. Good luck with your transaction.
