I feel you. I bought the kit with the "intention" to flip it, but after spendin a few days taking it apart and cleaning it, I fell in love much to the wife's dismay. Now its not going anywhere.

Amazing kit you have there! Very nice :) The same thing happened to me with my Club Dates. Oh well I sold another kit I didn't care too much about and all was well with the wife.

After doing yet more research, I have found that some of the hardware seems as "rare" as finding a kit in this condition.

What I identified:

- 1026-1 Drum and timpani chair. Round Maroon vinyl seat. No rips

or tears. “Ringo Stool”

- 1123 “Ringo” Spur Lok Flat Base Hi Hat stand (not a 1123-1)

- 1400 Flat Base Cymbal Stand ( x2 )

- 1363 WFL Flat Base Snare Stand

- 201 Speed King bass drum pedal

- 103 Cowbell Mount

- External Bass Drum Muffler / Tone Control

I resemble this statement! ;)

That kit has a great stage presence.

4 year old grand daughter punctured ("fixed it" in her words) with a screwdriver. She did this right after she knocked the 12" off of the trap case onto a rack clamp and damaged a brand new vintage emperor. Needless to say, the basement is now off limits without my direct supervision.

Here is the mug shot after the incident. I couldn't stay mad for long!

Bless her heart!! I couldn't stay mad at her if I tried either!

Took them out for another gig. I purchased a '67 12", Keystone Vibrabands, and tried them hung on a rack. Absolutely no modifications were made to the drums.

Got a ton of comments about how beautiful the BDP wrap, and the drums, are. I also was complemented about how great the sound, particularly the resonance, of the drums filled the room, un-mic'd.

A couple of pics under different lighting:

Wow, I have never been a fan of those tubular drum racks but in this case it looks really good. So you added the 12" and flying all the toms. What is that other tom you have your stick bag on. Dd you add another floor tom to the mix ?

Thanks, I spend quite a lot of time trying to minimize the appearance of the rack by spreading it out and inverting the curve of the cross bar to go under the toms, making the drums the focal point in the set-up. The rack significantly reduces the footprint of the set-up as there are no stand legs jutting out in all directions. I was using 2 of the 3 pieces of my portable drum riser (48"deep x 64" wide) in these photos.

Just 1 floor tom. That's a reflection in the mirror behind me. The banner is covering most of it.
