1965 Ludwig Sbp Downbeat Kit Last viewed: 1 hour ago

There's a chance that I might be putting up my '65 Ludwig Sky Blue Pearl Downbeat (20/12/14) kit for sale in about a week. It all depends on the outcome of a few separate on-going transactions. I'm using this post simply as a "heads-up" for those who might have an interest. IF I do end up offering them, I'll post some detailed pics, a complete description of each drum and an asking price. Thanks for looking.

Those drums are beautiful. I really like the SBP finish, especially when it still has the "silver" quality to it that yours exhibits. Very attractive.

Thank you all for the kind words.

Mike: The snare pictured with the kit is a Ludwig Jazz Festival. I'll be keeping that one though.

From OldSchool

There's a chance that I might be putting up my '65 Ludwig Sky Blue Pearl Downbeat (20/12/14) kit for sale in about a week. It all depends on the outcome of a few separate on-going transactions. Based on the completion of several transactions as well as some on-going projects I've decided to offer my kit at a price of $1000. I will be more than happy to provide a detailed description of the kit itself and a significant amount of pics of each drum to seriously interested parties. Any sale would be solely for the three drums ( 20/12/14) and would not include any other items seen in the pics that would be provided. If it ends up that I can't get my asking price I'll simply keep the kit at this time and consider an alternate route for raising some funds.

PLEASE NOTE that the bass drum has been drilled for a second rail consolette. I have no idea whether this was done at the factory or by the original owner. Hopefully the pics that I forward of that area will provide you with a definitive answer. I simply wanted to state this up-front should that be an issue for any interested parties.

I'm hoping that the detailed description as well as all the pics will provide an accurate depiction of "the good, the bad and the ugly" of this kit.

If you have a serious interest in the kit please drop me a PM with your email address and I'll try to get the information and pics out to you as expeditiously as possible

Thanks in advance for your interest.
