1965 Oyster Blue Pearl kit. Last viewed: 2 hours ago

A great score today.

1965 "Superbeat" in Oyster Blue Pearl. 20/13/16 with 1965 Supraphonic. 9.5 out of 10 for real, this is basically almost NOS.

This is a matched kit. Special ordered from Ludwig by original owner with cases. No rust, no pitting, no fade, no issues, notta , nothing. As clean as clean can possibly be.

Everything works & is present & era correct. Very little play time at all.

Date stamped March 9 1965(Bass drum, tom) March 10 1965(FT) March 5 1965 Snare. I bought this kit from the second owner who bought from original owner in 1980.

These drums have been stored in perfect conditions in the original cases for over 33 years. They were never gigged out & really never saw much sunlight. Original owner used in home for maybe 2 years & decided to play piano instead. In the cases they went up in the attic. 1980 the very cool guy I bought from (older gent who also played country music here in SD) already had many kits so this one just was not used much. In the cases again for the next 3 decades. Both local guys.

I'm a very happy local guy today.

I really LOVE those 20" 60's kicks! I know not a cataloged kit, but I see many of this configuration & I LOVE the sizes. Here's couple more pics

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
