1966 Ludwig Hollywood WMP time warp! Last viewed: 19 hours ago

Hey folks! Wanted to share a special kit.

I got it from the original owner. It's a 1966 Ludwig Hollywood 12/13/16/22 that came with '66 5x14 Supraphonic Ludalloy (minimal pitting!), Ludwig flat base cymbal stands (2 of them), WFL flat base snare stand with mint basket, a Spur Lok hi hat stand, Speed King pedal, Ludwig Red Leatherette Stool, 2 20" 60's Zildjian A's and 14" 60's Zil. A Hi Hats.

The story is that the guy got it in high school, played it for a couple years, then stored it in his closet. It has barely seen the sun. There are very few marks on these drums. The chrome looks almost new. The Script Logo tom mount on the kick drum is in amazing shape.

All the stands are in fantastic shape.

The Supra is in excellent shape, very little pitting. I have the original snare wires (not attached in photos).

The rivet cymbal cracked during shipping Hurting:mad: Waiting to see how the Fedex claim situation plays out.

This kit is a total time warp. All original except for some touch up paint on the hoops. I have spent too much time staring at it...I just can't believe how clean it is overall.

I think I had a little too much fun photographing this one...the slide show needs some editing!

Thanks for looking!

Benny

Too cool...

Some people get excited about pizz yellow drums....aged and all that..

Not me...yours are how I like to see them!

How did you find them? CL?

Fun stuff, huh? This kit might be going on the market, as I need a good player's kit, and this one is more collectors grade. If I only had some extra cash, this one would stay with me forever.
