Life sometimes has a way of illuminating things. Mine has shown a light that I am a drum hoarder. I will very soon be putting up for sale my 1966 Ludwig drums. It is a complete set with cymbals and hardware/accoutrements from 1966. It has A. Zildjian cymbals bought with the kit when it was new. The kit and chrome is in 9-10 shape. The drums sound fabulous. I have used them once since I bought them in 2009. They sit in my closet in the bags and I need the room and to let go of things I no longer need or use. I know I will never run into another kit like this and neither will any of you most likely. The woman I bought these from was a widow of a friend of mine who was handicapped in a wheelchair since 1970. So, his 66 Super Classics sat in a dining room in vinyl Luddie bags for all those years until he died and I got them. I am going to take pics and research what a fair price is at market value. I am letting you guys know for a few reasons. I want feedback as to what they are worth ballpark number and also to give you guys first dibs. I would listen to offers once I post pics. Trust me when I say if you ever wanted an old Ludwig kit for that vintage sound, this is the kit. I would love to sell this kit to someone who owns a recording studio so they will be played but not abused. I have enjoyed them and the story of how I acquired them but I want to let them go so someone else can enjoy them. Thanks.
