I also suggest you put your kit on ebay with an auction, put a reserve and see how high it gets. That's the best way to determine what people will pay. I listed a Ludwig blue vistalite kit with a 12,13,16,22 and a matching snare and let people bid with no reserve, I sold it for $905, there were a few like mine with a higher bin or starting bid and they did not sell. Everyone thinks what they have is worth it's weight in gold, you may eventually get what you want but it would probably take several listings and then with all the fees it may not be worth it, good luck.
1966/68 Ludwig Silver Sparkle 4 Piece Last viewed: 48 minutes ago
Because I'm a bad boy avoiding getting to work, I've taken the time wasting looking up closed ebay Ludwig sparkle auctions. A blue sparkle '67 kit 12/14/20 sold pieced out for almost 2k - I've included the BD link : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&hash=item3cc4e77ff3&item=261001543667&nma=true&pt=Vintgae_Drums_Percussion&rt=nc&si=%252F3Iudpw%252BgxYcH772Y4SWhRhnx2c%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc#ht_3467wt_1392
Yes, it has the 14 FT. But I am very surprised that it went for that seeing that seller included somewhat lacking pics. & isn't blue sparkle about the most common wrap out there? What am I missing here? Did Bonham lick it or something?
This leads me to wager that my kit's easily worth over 2k ~?@!???

... maybe that kick's an 18" .?. bop kit .?.
You are fine with that price. I wouldn't sell it for 1500. It would definitely be in the range of 2 grand. That's a seriously sweet kit and a very nice snare.
The only low points ... some like a traditional 22 bass with these toms and the silver sparkle is a fairly common wrap. With that said, it's worth the asking price ... easy.
I have the same but, but a 69' with clear interiors.
Yours is gorgeous!!
And I learned that mine is a Super Classic now as well :)

Like I said, put it on ebay and see what it brings, in my experience drums are only worth what people are willing to pay. The blue sparkle kit you mentioned was pieced out, so maybe you should do the same. With that said, there's a 13 silver sparkle tom with a bin for $249 and a 16 for $359 that have not sold. The drum market is strange, I've seen very nice kits sell for less than a grande and others sell for $1,500 to $2,000. Go figure.
