1967 Ludwig Black Oyster Pearl 20/13/16 Last viewed: 41 minutes ago

I've decided to sell my 1967 Ludwig BOP 20/13/16 kit. These sizes aren't classified as a Downbeat (20/12/14) or Super Classic (22/13/16). This kit sounds amazing and is absolutely gorgeous! They are just dripping with vintage!

All new heads were installed. Remo Weatherking Coated Ambassadors on all drums top and bottom. A new outer bass drum head was also installed with the vintage Ludwig script.

The wraps are completely original and have some yellowing which I prefer over the clean look. There is a very nice contrast between the drums and the brand new white heads. The drums were played in many New Orleans nightclubs throughout the years which may have contributed to the yellowing which to me tells a little history of the kit.

I also have an Zildgian Avedis ride and Avedis hi-hats from the same era that I can include for a little more. The hi-hats are cracked pretty badly and the ride cymbal is in good condition and sounds great but does have some keyhole damage.

Asking price is $1800 plus shipping without cymbals. I'll add more pics later.

Really, for a BOP kit? I think you may be a tad high, I bought one a few years ago with a 12,13,16,22 for less than $1,000 at Rockin Robin music store in Houston and they are notorious for overpricing their drums.

Kit is completely original with no extra holes and is a configuration that isn't as common as some others. I've seen similiar sets in this price range sell. Tell ya what...I'll throw in the zildgian cymbals and hi-hats that are also from the 60's. Like I said though, the hi-hats are cracked and the cymbal has keyhole damage but still sounds really good.

Here are two more pics. One of the inside of the bass drum that shows where the front reinforcement ring was slightly notched into the bass drum. The other picture is a bright one taken with a different camera to show some of the imperfections. Also, the hi-hat stand is not included. It's missing parts and isn't functional anyway.

In the past week, a 20-12-14 went for $4500, and a 22-13-16 went for $5200. So I'd say your price is pretty darn fair!
