1967 Ludwig rewrapped in Oyster Black Pearl Last viewed: 5 hours ago

I just made a trade a week ago for a 1967 Ludwig kit rewrapped in Oyster Black Pearl.

The sizes are 22, 13, 16. I picked up a Rocker snare a few weeks ago that had also been wrapped in OBP, only with a finish closer to the original OBP. The snare looks like it is 4 ply.

Whoever did the rewrap on the kit did a great job. I added Pearl Floor suspension feet on the fold out spurs to keep the bass from creeping and to get it off the floor. I have it set up on a towel in the family room for now.

I have an early 1970's 14" floor tom that was previously rewrapped and I plan to buy some OBP wrap for it.

I also have an original 1968 OBP kit with a Slingy tom and bass mount. 12, 16, 20. Clear interiors.

I love these kits. Time to clear out some other stuff to make room for these kits.

Thanks Gerald and Wayne.

Wayne -- you are absolutely correct about cleaning house. I actually have gotten rid of a couple of kits and have a few more for sale. It is time to let someone else enjoy these wonderful instruments and be their steward for a while.
