1967 Ludwig Supraphonic Snare Last viewed: 19 hours ago

A student of mine has a drum and was wondering what the potential value of it is. Here are the details:

-10 lug chrome supraphonic, keystone badge with serial number 433858

-I think it is stamped inside as 1967. Hard to read with heads on. Looks like there might be a signature too.

-all original including snares, (one snare is slightly bent)

-very tarnished and dirty but will clean up to be in fair condition

-some rust pitting

-everything functions

-simple style snare throw

I have found one on craigslist that looks to be in slightly better shape, (buy it now for $300). Here is the link to that one:

I found another at Guitar Center that looks the same condition for $599.

Any thoughts on the value of the one I have? Sorry no pics but I don't want to take the time at the moment!

Thanks everyone

Forget about Buy it Now prices. Go on ebay & look at "completed listings" to get a realistic idea of what a dirty snare will go for. I don't blame you for not taking pictures,...who has an extra 3 minutes nowadays ?
