I didn't know that club dates ever had (what appears to be) a strata wrap!!!!! That would now be a holy grail for me. Golly gee that's snazzy and the price is right. (Sigh) I'm in NY.

Definitely NOT a ludwig standard kit, looks more like an MIJ kit.

Some of the hardware does look MIJ but the floor tom leg mounts look Club date. If anyone wants I can go scope it out this weekend. I would be more interested in the cymbals.

The wood on the inside of the shell make me think MIJ. Anyway like I said not mine and it was advertised as a 1968 Ludwig.

ludwig only used the strata finish for the standard line and they never did make a club date or single lug kit in the standard line. the lugs and tom holder should have been a dead giveaway, and that finish is not a strata, its known more in the MIJ world as a swirl wrap. i assume one of the drumheads said ludwig on it so the uninformed seller assumed it was a luddy.

that kit with those missing parts should sell for no more $200.

Looks like a Pearl Valencia outfit in Tigers Eye. Probably a stencil version without Pearl badges though http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/images/my_collection/literature/pearl/1968-pearl-catalog-8.jpg

Pretty cool set, & a fair price at $450, I'd say. I've never tried to tune a 6-lug bass, but I'm sure it can be done well. airbornesfc, I'd definitely think about grabbing that one if it goes for much cheaper--it's a beautiful drumset in my eyes. Thanks for posting......marko
