For Sale: (as some of you have been watching my posting in the Vintage Drum section)

Ludwig 5 piece drum set silver metal flake, all the stands, Paiste cymbals, seat, Speed King pedal, Bags, a labeled bottle Ludwig new Cymbal polish, Ludwig wire brushes Ludwig Sticks. I have included lots of pictures but please ask for any picture you need to make a decision or not. I will not separate the drums from the cymbals.

What you will get:

Drums all have their original weather master heads. Took one hoop off and did not see any fading. (see picture)

Snare drum chrome Ludwig supra phonic 400 5 X 14

Tom Tom 8 X 12

Tom Tom 9 X 13

Floor Tom Tom 16 X 16

Bass 22 X 14

The last four drums are silver metal flake. Silver Mist(?)

Bass drum has Speed King pedal.

Naugahyde bags for each drum. All bags are date stamped and what size drum fits in each bag from factory on the inside of each bag as shown.(Note not all bags are shown in picture)

Cymbals are all Paiste 602's with embossed logo as seen in picture:

14" Hi Hat I didn't take the top cymbal apart, weight unknown. Bottom one weights 884.51 grams

18" thin crash 1283.9 grams

20" Medium Ride 2418.2 grams

Also note that all of the cymbals still have the dimensions in red ink as well as what they are "Hi-Hat Top" "Thin Crash" etc. Underneath they have in black ink "1204"

Includes: Two cymbal stands and Hi-Hat stand with Ludwig SPUR-LOK pedal. One cymbal stand is missing the wing nut as I used thing a majiger with rivets which spins onto the stand in place of the wing nut(got me what the technical name is --> see picture 3)

Extra's besides the bags:

Original Ludwig wire brushes in original box, two original keys, one original wrench, a pair of what I believe to be the original Ludwig sticks (although I am not sure - see picture) and one Ludwig "new" Cymbal polish. All original to my initial purchase (with the exception of possibly the sticks as noted)

The flaws:

On the back of the bass where the peddle attaches it is slightly worn. As to be expected there are a few minor nicks where obviously the stand for the cymbals had to be tightened down. Where my foot went into the bass peddle both sides have the gunmetal grey paint worn away, the right side more then the left as seen in the pictures. Lastly almost all of the little rubber nubs for the legs have to be replaced (I have them or most of them, but most are cracked --> the ones for the bass legs, since it was in the bag out of the ozone (sunlight) are actually in real good shape)

History: This is my set that my mom bought me in 1969 when I was 15. What I remember most when they finally came in (I had to order the set the color I wanted) was that the salesman told me the legs for the bass drum were curved and I was one of the first to get them because he had never seen them that way as it was a style change. These drums were never band played nor transported anywhere - once bought they stayed at the house (mom's house) although I vaguely remember that I did bring them one semester to my college (can't remember after all it was the early 70's - LOL LOL). These were then brought to my house when I got married in 1985 where they have resided until now. They have not been played in close to 28 years and even in the early years there were several years that these did not get touched.

Price: $2500 shipping not included. I am an ebay seller and do know how to package things other than these drums so if you purchase these I will package them however you tell me too. I also have a lot of fellow gas collectors which may be able to assist you in getting the drums close to your location (depending on where you live and show schedules) for less then regular shipping possibly.

If I can provide any more information or pictures please let me know either directly through pm or by my email. Thank you. John
