Ya, my 50's large stamp 22'' is just a tad heavier but sounds way better to me. Sometimes I stick a super tiny bit of self stick foam weather insulation on a cymbal that seems too ringy/clangy to me, dries it up nicely and doesn't leave the dreaded duct tape residue! In fact the pieces usually just fall off once the pies slide into the cymbal case :)
