1975 Rogers Big R - KOA Wrap Last viewed: 7 hours ago

Have an incomplete 1975 Rogers Big R for sale.

22" Bass, 12" & 13" toms - no floor tom ( didn't come with one )

All the drums themselves are in great shape. Little scuffs, and very minor rust on a few of the bottom bass drum screws. Aside that no serious damage to any of the drums. Bass drum comes with spurs and the tom mount for the toms. All I did tot these was take them apart and give the shells a good cleaning.

The issues - The bass drum doesn't have original rims. The one wood rim that came with was beyond repair. I took the inlay off and applied it to a black metal rim. I'll include a second black metal rim. The front is missing tension rods & claws. The 12" is play able but could use new heads. Not 100% if the rims and tension rods are Rogers. The 13" needs rims, tension rods and heads.

Couple more photos of the kit. Also you'll notice the low serial numbers, especially on the 12". These are early on in the life of the Big R drums.

Hi,

Would it be possible to see some more pictures of your bass drum?

And how many bass drum claws & rods are you missing?

Could you include a photo of a claw & rod?

I'm trying to put together a big R Koa kit

but only have a floor tom & 13"rack,

your drums could help me out.

I just need to see the damaged areas

of the kick drum really, if it's not to far gone

Hi Jay,

The guy who bought your koa drums last week put them straight on Ebay so I still have a chance to get them. I just wanted to double check with you that they were all Koa finish. On his Ebay photos the toms look more like the Rogers New Mahogany finish, they look a lot darker. Maybe it's just his photos but I thought it was worth checking with you first. By the way, did you pick up any more Koa drums yet?
