1976 Ludwig Stainless Steel kit Last viewed: 1 hour ago

SOLD - Clapping Happy2Clapping Happy2Clapping Happy2Cool1D' DrummerVintage 1976 Ludwig Stainless Steel drum kit. 8"x12", 9"x13" rack toms, 16" x 16" floor tom, 14" x 22" bass drum. 'Pointy' (early 70's) B/O Badge. Marine steel, not the thin metal being used on the more expensive modern kits.

The drums are all in minty condition. No dings, dents or scratches anywhere on the kit. I take very good care of my stuff. All chrome and hardware is clean and in primo condition. The drums have been kept in cases for years. I am the second owner.

The drums are loud, punchy and dry. Outrageous tone from the toms when tuned down low. This is a highly prized and collectable kit. Modern kits of much lesser quality are selling for twice as much as the vintage kits. These drums will only increase in value with passing time. Kits in this excellent condition don't come up for sale very often. If you've always wanted one of these, now is the time. I have held on to this one long enough. I have other kits that I play out and this one has just been sitting around unplayed for way too long now. I want them to go to a good home where they'll be appreciated, played and enjoyed as they were meant to be.

$1850.00 - Shipped in lower 48. International pays all shipping costs. PM me if interested.

Buy with complete confidence. 200+ ebay transactions 100% positive feedback. John (Purdie Shuffle)

Mike, Aside from needing the $, I felt bad that they were always stacked away or packed away in cases unused. The kit has always been just too heavy for me to haul around to gigs and way too loud for simple practice in the house. They are an outstanding set of drums (that people have been asking me about for the longest time because they always show up in the background of shots of other drums and kits that I am posting) it's about time some one gives them some love and plays the hell out of them - like they were meant to be.

I'm happy they are going to Scott. He's a good guy and the drums will be cared for and given a good home.

Best outcome possible as far as I'm concerned...

I just wanted to say that I received this kit earlier today. They were exactly as described, they were packed well, they were shipped out super fast... Kudos to John for taking such good care of these over the years; it was a pleasure doing business with him.

Buzz, my man! Thank -you-! I couldn't be happier it was you and that they are residing in a good home - where they will be appreciated and cared for. I really do love drums. Knowing I passed them on to a buddy and a good guy only sweetens the deal.
