Offering this 20 inch Hand Hammered WUHAN Ride HEAVY (approx. 3350 grams)
If looks were all there was to it - this would be worth a small fortune. If you are like me, I consider (many) cymbals to be pieces of visual art.
That said, this does not sound as beautiful as it looks, though it does sound like more than some sloppy mass produced junk (this is made in China). This is not an average Wuhan cymbal.
This sucker is perhaps the heaviest cymbal I have ever handled! Weighing in at about 7.4 pounds, which translates to about 3350 grams. These are approximate as my scale was not being consistent, and is not reliable - but it does give you an idea of how heavy this beast is and how thick it is.
One would think it would sound typically Chinese, Asian and also way gongy - but it surprised me that it was neither. Yes, you can hear the gong type sound, but the B20 is very apparent and this cymbal cuts, and is loud. It would make a great clean cutting pinger.......
Wait a minute....I believe I can arrange a little listen-for-yourself!
