2005 Tama Reissue ImperialStar Jazz Kit with many upgrades Last viewed: 7 hours ago

Greetings!

My drum warehouse (err, I mean my basement) is running out of space, so this very nice kit drew the short straw. Here Goes:

Tama Imperialstar kit in Bronze Mist Metallic wrap. Outstanding condition. Here are the drum sizes along with upgrades to each drum:

14" x 18" Bass Drum-Upgraded Matte Finish wood hoops from the stock black plastic hoops and I bolted the bottom half of a Gibraltar lifter directly to the batter hoop. I cut away some of the hoop so the drive mechanism of the pedal will clear it. This is a lot more secure and gets the pedal closer to the head than on other lifters, and easily fits in a case still attached. I filled in the original, stock lifter holes with wood filler. Bearing edges cut to a double 45 degree cut by Precision Drum Company out of New York. New Clear Tama Batter and Tama Black Logo head (Powerstroke 3 style).

8" x 10" Tom-Upgraded to a 2.3mm Pearl Super Hoops on both heads, a Gibraltar suspension mount and a Gibraltar bracket and filled in the original bracket holes with wood filler (the suspension mount covers them). Bearing edges cut to a double 45 degree cut by Precision Drum Company out of New York. Remo Fiberskyn 3 Ambassadors top and bottom.

8" x 12" Tom-Upgraded to a Gibraltar suspension mount and a Gibraltar bracket and filled in the original bracket holes with wood filler (the suspension mount covers them). Bearing edges cut to a double 45 degree cut by Precision Drum Company out of New York. Also, it used to be a 9" x 12" tom, when Precision did the bearing edges, I had them cut an inch off the depth. I filled in the original lug holes with wood filler and they are hidden (the lugs had to be moved up 1 inch to maintain the same relationship to the bearing edge). Remo Fiberskyn 3 Ambassadors top and bottom.

12" x 14" Floor Tom-Upgraded to Tama Brackets with eyebolts for the legs (from the default bracket that just had a wing bolt tighten directly against the leg. This is much more secure and won't strip out). Same exact hole spacing, no extra drilling required. Bearing edges cut to a double 45 degree cut by Precision Drum Company out of New York. Remo Fiberskyn 3 Ambassadors top and bottom.

5" x 13" Snare Drum. Upgraded bearing edges cut to a double 45 degree cut and snare beds were re-cut by Precision Drum Company out of New York. 2.3mm hoops on both heads. Remo Coated Ambassador Top, Remo Clear Ambassador Snare Side.

This kit is in excellent condition, and with the many upgrades I made, it sounds absolutely killer. Very versatile sizes and lots of options (you can play it as a 4 piece with either rack tom) etc.

$400 + Shipping.

Thanks,

V
