20,12,14, MIJ set. (Tama?) Last viewed: 1 day ago

This set is in great shape and all polished up. The sizes are 20,12,14. I think they could be a set from Tama, looking at the BD cymbal mount, but I could be wrong. Can you stencil experts give me a value on this set. They are right up the road from me and I like the sizes. Thanks in advance. What do you all think? Get it or forget it.

I love it. But it would depend on asking price as to whether or not I would deal with them. Sweet kit.

Without a really good pic of the rail and arm, maybe the lugs, it's hard to say. If the are in the 100-150 range or so, it would be a deal as I see no matching snare. But since you are up east, the price is prolly higher. Anyway, that's were I stand. I paid 50 for my complete kit with hardware and cymbals, and mine is a Majestic with all the heavier Star/TAMA parts, so it is really what will you pay?

BTW, that 14 FT will sound great if the edges are worked a bit. I put just a bit of point to them, not a knife edge, but more like the new TAMA snare contour. Mine sounds great with that contour and black pinstripe on it. And get this-using a TAMA hazy 300 on the bottom for reso. the thicker 300 is great for a res. I had a 200 on there because it just what I had at the time, and someone dropped off a 300 with some other heads and it is the best combo I have put on it.

But there's no snare....for me that is a sticky, but that's just me. You can find a snare on the bay, but all of a sudden the MIJ stuff is jumping up. I see no real reason, people need to stop overpaying so they remain affordable.

The seller wants $250 for them. They are in very good condition but with no snare and the cymbal holder that mounts through the Bass drum missing, I'll pass on this one

Or you could point out the missing bits and the fact that there is no snare and offer them $175.00 :)
