$2078 Canadian Pesos
Does anyone here know someone near the seller that can go check this out?
If it did turn out to be legit it's a very fare price for everything.
If I was over there I'd be all over this.......checking it out.

I sent the seller an email - hope he answers. I will post the outcome.

A scam? Could it be an old Premier drum from England that somebody got creative with? LoLoLoLo
Looks legit to me, but with such a big ticket item why only 2 photos? That's the strange part and also that the seller says he's no drum expert. Come on! I'm no Picasso expert, but if I found one in my attic I'd make sure I knew everything about it before selling it. It's the same when you see an Auction titled Avedis Zildjian Hi Hats and the cymbals are K Istanbul and the seller makes sure he takes lots of photos of the K stamp because they knows exactly what they have and what it's worth, but playing dumb so the buyer thinks he / she is going to pay Avedis price for K Istanbul. In the end they sell for K Istanbul prices and if you catch the seller early and offer to buy it outright and offer way more than what Avedis hi hats would sell for they'll always decline your offer because they know what they have. They always say they're no drum experts. I don't buy that playing dumb routine. I always approach with caution when I see that. I don't trust the seller straight off the bat.
I have a two bedroom loft in the Village I'm selling for $50g's. I'm not a realtor and don't do this often. Fully furnished walking distance from Washington Square Park. Meet me there at 2am if interested. Cash only.

...and I have my grandfather's old car from the 1930's for sale. It's a Duesen-something. I have to sell it because they don't make parts for it anymore. It's really shiny so I have to get $6,000 firm. Call me at 1-800-Big-Scam if you're interested.

"I don't know much about drums, but I know it's worth $_______ and is a rare chrome over brass blah blah with ...... so you better not lowball me..."
I love these type of ads.
It still astounds me how many people get sucked into these types of scam. You can usually tell by the use of language they use. I heard yesterday that last year New Zealanders were scammed out of NZ$8m which is quite a lot considering our population is only around 4.5m. Fortunately I don't need to worry about losing money since my new friend Mr Kidogo from Lagos is going to give me part of a US$100m inheritance from my long-lost uncle who lived on the Ivory coast. Happy days.
The bottom-line is, you cannot do big ticket transactions unless you have someone you trust on location to inspect the item for you in person. Period. End of story. Otherwise, no deal. My Pat. Pending wave pattern 5x14 20's Black Beauty was in Chicago. If it wasn't for Gary going in person to check out the drum, I never would have done the deal. Gary called me while he was with the seller and he described the drum to me in great detail. There's no way I send anybody 2 grand for a 'sight-unseen' anything.

This is a scam, it has been advertised here in the UK for years.I wonder how many people have been caught out on this one with money transfers and suchlike, every now and then you get these type of adverts on Craiglist and if you ask to view the item there is a tall story about how the item is not available to be seen, "but if you would like to transfer money its all yours"
Yes, this is a scam. Sometimes, it appears out of Scotland but still same scam. Be careful. Bob
