24" and 20" Vistalite bass drums on CL....what are these?? Last viewed: 6 hours ago

They appear to be marching basses? I thought they looked pretty.....what a strange find!

What do you think these guys were meant for? They appear to come from the 1970s.

Wow! Those are rare birds indeed! They're concert toms. In extremely rare sizes. In a rare color. In great shape with no cracks. Wow!

Wow these are interesting, and they're just 20 minutes away from me here in Connecticut.

My question to you Vistalite experts: These huge concert toms appear to have factory clip mounts attached. How can a 24" Vistalite shell hold up to the stress of being mounted to a single point (and then struck) without cracking? I thought these shells were prone to cracking?

Who knows WHY they didn't crack. That's one of the things that makes this such a great find...
