4-Digit Serial # Acrolite? Last viewed: 44 minutes ago

Does anyone know if Ludwig ever made an Acrolite in '63 with a 4-digit serial number Keystone badge, or were they still the all-aluminum prototyes in '63?

I have seen a non-"prototype" but no serial number keystone badge version of the acrolite--in fact there was one on ebay where the seller didn't know what he had a few months ago and went for a good price.

There is a thread buried on here somewhere where the webmaster was looking for a photo of this so-called "second generation" acrolite.

Consequently, I would think that acrolite's with 4 digit serial numbers should and would exist--as there were already 2 generations, as it were, of them before the serial numbers started.

Thanks for the info, Knavel. I figured they just might exist, especially since you just informed me that there are 2nd generation Acros with non-serial badges. Looks like I'll have to start searching hard to find one! I just purchased a '63 Super Classic kit and all the badges are in the 1000-2000 range! I'm even getting the matching Supra for it with a badge number in the 1000 range...now looking to get the Acro in a serial number range as close as possible. Thanks again!
