60's Ludwig Super Classics wanted Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Loading...

Hi all,

I posted the other day looking for a set of Downbeats, but after giving it some thought I'd also be open to consider a set of Super Classics also.

Snare not essential. I'd really prefer a set retaining its original wrap.

Shipping to Australia would be required (at my cost of course)

Look forward to hearing from you and thanks to everyone who has responded so far. I'm currently considering all of my options.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I've got a '67 20-13-16, original blue sparkle, 3 ply original white interiors, that I would sell for $700 plus shipping.

-no extra holes or problems

-average wear to wrap and chrome

-missing baseball bat mufflers

-original edges in great shape

-a few non-original claws

-a bunch of non-original tension rods on toms

-one non-original hoop on each tom

-single rail mount

Thanks,

Bill

The 1967 WMP 12/16/20 set linked below is being cleaned up and polished for an eventual sale - probably 90 days out from now by the time I photograph it with a super high resolution camera. The base drum is completely dismantled and being cleaned up now. Then the MINT 7/15/66 Supra-Phonic 400 will be last and I'll be done cleaning and polishing every single drum, stand, pedal, lug, washer, bolt & nut (just south of a thousand pieces). It will not be cheap, but it will be one of the cleanest, fully original, complete, 1-owner sets (including original receipts & heads) ever to hit the market when done. This set has the least amount of pitting of any 45 year old set I've ever seen - 99.99% pit free. I'm a perfectionist and it will show. It will be all or nothing. My mom scolded me never to sell my drums so there's some anxiety here to actually do this. I have other hobbies now.
