Selling my 60s Premier Mahogany Duroplastic kit. Sizes are 20,12,14 (14" floor toms are rare for Premier) and snare. All standard sizes; no special order heads needed. It is a player's kit--the kick drum had a later mount installed at some point resulting in extra holes, but I put the correct one back on and it covers the extra ones. Bass hoops came in horribly tattered black. I stripped them and repainted them silver (they look awesome) Kick and floor tom have one small circular section missing each which look like the result of cigarette burns. The bass spur brackets were changed to same vintage Olympic ones at some point (same hole pattern so no extra holes; could be switched back). Batter side of kick drum has unoriginal tension rods--just the simple key-tightened type, claws are correct. The snare is a little earlier than the other drums (has the earlier style die cast hoops) and is missing the muffler. $750 plus shipping or best offer.

I am uninformed. Sorry.
Are the shells made of wood and plastic?
What does "duroplastic" mean.
I have always liked certain things about Premier.
Thanks GGD
Thanks to Mr. Jerry Jenkins
The shells are thin 3-ply birch with beech reinforcement rings. The "mahogany duroplastic" is the name of this wrap. It was the wrap on the Premier drums Ringo played before he got a Ludwig endorsement.

OK ... so no cash to speak of, but I gots your old Ks. Are ya thinkin' more toward the 18-inch end of things or more toward the 22-inch end of things? Any chance you're located within reasonable driving distance of NYC?
In the interest of making this easier on everyone, let's just put a starting number out there of $750, and we can work from there.
