Couldn't copy the pic so here's the link:

Thanks

I've never owned a Rogers set, and haven't dealt with them much.

However, looking at old catalog pages on VDG, I don't see that configuration.

The swiv-o-matic system was around for several years, so I don't see why it wouldn't work. I would think it possible that maybe the second tom arm was added later, rather than installing a double mount ("twin" mount as Rogers called it in their '64 catalog).

Page 162 of Rob Cook's Rogers book pictures a "TopHat" configuration listed from 1958--1964 with that type of mounting hardware. I think that by 1962, the center-mounted "Twin" tom holder replaced the need for two single tom holders. I think that I remember that the English Rogers drums used the type of system that you show in your pictures. Dave Clark's first Red Sparkle backwards tom English Rogers set had those two tom mounts if i remember correctly.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

Thanks all, so this set must be rare since it has both a center mount and the 2 single tom holders not to mention the B&B lugs? It sold for $755 plus shipping.

I think that the center mount might be an add-on to your bass drum. Or, it could have been ordered with that configuration. Yet, another possibility is that the center mount was for the two toms, the mount on the drummer's right was a cymbal mount, and the mount on the left was for the snare drum off of the bass drum a la Cozy Cole or me in 1961.

And come to think of it, if you go and look at early 60s Rogers catalog pages on VDF, that configuration (or something like it) comes up...
