Up for sale is a 1960's Slingerland kit that I repaired and re wrapped. This is a great players kit that will give someone years of enjoyment. But is in no way a collector kit. The bass drum had 30 extra holes, the 13" had a Pearl tom mount added, and at some point someone was trying to convert the 15" into a snare ( there are no snare beds though ) All the extra holes have been filled and the interiors repainted in that classic " Chocolate Milk " color. Set consists of a 22" Bass Drum, 13" Tom and 15" Tom. Both toms have brand new heads, the bass drum batter head is lightly used and has a center patch. Aside from the mentioned issues that have been fixed this kit is spot on, ready to play and dazzle audiences. I'm asking $500 + shipping. Again this is a players kit. I'm not asking top dollar,just what it fair for the drums and the work put in. I'll get a good photo of the bass drum posted by tonight.

WOW. Slingerland drums are as nice as any. I don't understand why they are so under valued??
Well this kit in particular since I did a lot of work on it to bring it back it doesn't hold much as a collectors piece. But you are right, and it's been a topic of discussion before. I'm having a hard time moving this kit. And it's priced right, and while not a collector I think I did a great job on the restoration and making it a great looking players kit. Someone out there wants this kit. They just haven't found it yet.
