60's speed king pedals Last viewed: 0 seconds ago
There are thousands of 60's pedals available! Condition is everything. For the most part, they need to be completely disassembled and relubed, along with replacing any worn parts. Because of this, I would think there's not much real value in your pedals as-is. You can check places such as eBay for prices of sold pedals. I would think the majority of pedals in good condition sell for about $50 or less. Maybe others will chime in with their thoughts!

that first pic shows the wfl footboard for their 1121 hi hat stand. ive seen those sell for 20 or so. if the speed king is also a wfl, they usually go for a little more than the Ludwig model. I paid 50 for my last one that functioned.

they both function right i spent a whole day playing with em just to see how well they feel and work. what would you say i should sell em both for?
My opinion (as a Rogers guy) of the ubiquitous Speed King is that it holds the same status among vintage gear as the Supraphonic; i.e., it's a dependable, quality workhorse that will never go out of fashion, and everyone should have one in their arsenal. My very first pedal was a Speed Master, and when I got my first Speed King, I was blown away by its smoothness and couldn't understand why anyone would want any other pedal (until I bought a Rogers Swivomatic).
As far as monetary value goes, the low market price ($50 - $100) is a reflection of the shear number of these pedals readily available, and not a reflection of its quality or its value as an instrument. Its a great pedal massed produced in great numbers and well worth owning.:2Cents:

i was surprised how well they worked being how old they are and the fact they have been sitting in a basement for over 10 years :)
Do you have the whole hi hat stand or just the footboard ?
You should float that BD pedal. I can see that it returns too far and that will make it squeak or click. The HH pedal can be floated as well. To float the BD pedal, use the spring screws on the bottom of each post. The horizontal wheel on the HH stand will float that pedal when adjusted correctly.
You will improve the performance of them noticeably.

Can you explain "float"? I'm not sure what you mean.
