Rogers Tower 1969-1971 "Natural Blonde"

This is a Tower rack tom (speckled gray interior, Dayton tag, serial #21xxx) that came from a monster drum set back in the day! It is a Satin Amber type finish/color and would make a great candidate for a wrap or just play it as-is. It is very clean and appears to be all-original minus a missing factory muffler. I have used it as a floor tom (mounted on a very old snare stand) and also as a micro-bop bass drum mounted on a cradle...it sounded excellent in both situations. It has the factory heads still installed and the bottom head looks almost NOS. This drum has seen very little use.
The only issues to mention are a slight separation in the re-ring plies in the bottom re-ring and both heads fit rather snugly. I tried swapping heads with new modern texture coated Aquarians, but couldn't get the head to fit properly, so I went back to the factory heads (they actually still sound great). A solution might be to try Aquarian American Vintage heads to accommodate the slightly oversized diameter or possible out-of-roundness. All in all, it's an awesome sounding drum that is a perfect sonic match to Rogers Tower drums and an inexpensive way to replicate the elusive 14x14 floor tom :)
