No, the '65 Super Classic (note thread: Happy Birthday to me).
Serial numbers are really close. Let's just "say" that it is a modification from an Acro, and chromed......I have had over 200 supra's and acrolites in my life, and typically (if lucky) will have the date stamp. 50% of the time, however it was wiped off previously. Also on the interior you will find a "wax pencil" of an initial. Not sure what it is for, but assuming it is an initial of someone in assembly that has completed a task. Perhaps I am out in left field here. Learning more each day! Thanks guys!
Took a photo and will post without a lug.
Can tell you that it is a perfect outline of no flaking imperial lug. Not even close to a bowtie/acro. Give me a few minutes to download.
Here is the pic....thanks to everyone!

looks like those lugs have been on there since the start!! I think you have a rare drum there...sadly it is pitted :( It would probably pull around $250 on the bay.

An 8-lug Supra---that's a cool one. I've got a 10-lug Acro to go with it.....marko
From what I could gather, some people claim that there was an 8 lug Supra made. Not many, very rare. Because it is chromed that would lead me to believe that. UNLESS, someone had it (an Acro) chromed back in the 60s,which then was easy enough to do and added the Imperials. Why back then when a Supra was probably just another drum to us drummers. So
I can't say for sure what it is. But the pic of the drum I posted in the other thread is an 8 Imperial lug drum. Probably an Acrolite, maybe a Supra. But I can't tell if it is chrome or Ludwigs "shiny metal".It sold for just under $300. But what is great is the serial #. on surface's drum, 234567!! Pretty cool in itself!! Hang on to this drum, you never know!
Cheers,BigE
Thank you for the information BigE....will keep this one for sure. Not going to re-chrome it either, as then it "would" be a chromed over Acro for sure. Was going to sell it originally as the condition it was in and help offset the cost of the kit, but will possibly run across a 10 lug '65 Supra to place behind the kit....until then, will put this one back together, and see what she sounds like!
Happy New Year to everyone!
