Hey everybody I have a friend who has a Ludwig Deluxe Classic kit in usual sizes (22,13,16) The WMP is very evenly yellowed ever so slightly, no stains or discoloration. The 13" has a July 1967 date and the other two are 1968. The BD has slight seam lift and the batter side claws look to be Camco or even Gretsch and the spurs are 70's curved. The newer spurs seem to fit the same holes as the old spurs, I see no extra holes on any of the drums. The two toms are white inside but have white ball bat mufflers. Now the "iffy" part. The first owner (for what ever reason) took the badges off the drums but kept them. My friend put them back on but the grommets and shells are a bit buggered up on the inside. Overall these drums are very clean, the chrome is good and I could only find one tension rod that looked like a Rogers rod. I don't have any pictures but I can put anybody in touch with my friend to look at them. The drums are in West Terre Haute, Indiana. He is asking $800 but would take less. With the problems and condition listed does this sound like a good deal? I know, I know, pictures would help. If anybody is really interested I can go over and take some pictures. Are these just too common to mess with the several problems? I was going to buy them but I just don't need another kit and I have a 1961 no serial number keystone badge Classic kit in WMP. I feel bad not buying them after I told him that I would but I came to my senses and 19 kits is probably plenty. So I wanted to help him best I could.
