70's Ludwig B/O Badge Jazz Fest notches in reinforcing hoops. Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Alright,

Has anyone seen Ludwig do anything like this from the factory? If so, Great!

I recently acquired this snare for a really good price and decided to just turn around and sell it on EEEEK- bay. It was on for a total of 45 min and was purchased Buy It Now. Now the buyer wants to send it back because he feels it is a fake because of the notches in the reinforcing hoops.

What do you think?

It's a cut down/repaired drum. Maybe even a marcher conversion. The lugs and badge are not centered on the shell. Give it back to him and get your money back. It'll probably play ok, but it isn't what you think it is.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

I was the guy selling the drum. I am giving him his money back for sure. But, I was always under the impression that a marching snare had the muffler knob in the same panel as the badge. At least my 12x15 of the same era does.
