I just got home with my Rogers. These drums look fabulous! They are literally in Mint condition. They have been in cases all thier lives. Im no expert on rogers hardware, but there are no extra holes anywhere. They are still in tha back of my Yukon. I will get them out and take pics and do some research and let you Rogers experts tell me what I have. He had a very nice Luddy supra layin in the corner and 2 pairs of 15" Zildjian Hats in perfect shape, and a Comco pedal that looks like new. i also got the supra, a pair of the hats and the camco pedal for an extra $100. I didnt even haggle with the guy. The BB wrap looks brand new. One seam is lifting up on the floor tom but I know how to fix that. The interiors of the shells look like ludwigs granitone interior.

I don't know guys...Script badge w/Memriloc tom mounts = Butchered butcher block!

You did amazing. Those are very nice drums and will play wonderfully for you. Great find. I'm glad you didn't haggle with the guy. They were worth quite a bit more than the asking price and it would have seemed icky if you had tried to take advantage of the guy. Poppy is the ethical drumming man! Very cool.

You Have Done Very Well For Yourself!!!!!! Considering The

Condition And Completeness For The Set, $350.00 Was A Great

I Am One Of The Few That Believe The Butcher Block Wraps Found

On The Rogers And Ludwig Drums From The Era Will Be A Hot Item

In The Future. You Can Look Back And Feel Happy How Well You've

Done With This Set. My First Vintage Set Was A '68 Ludwig Blue

Well Hell!!!!! Im an idiot!! As I was on my way to get my Rogers I got a phone call from my mom informing me that my grandmother had died. She was 99 and woulda been 100 next month. I have been pretty busy ever since. I got my rogers out of the cases this morn and examined them closely and discovered that they, have in fact been butchered. I dont know how I missed it when purchasing them. The tom mount hardware and spurs and spur brackets have been changed from swivo to B R memory lock hardware. They did a pretty good job filling the holes on the outside, but its easily detectable on the inside. I can touch up the insides to be almost undectable. I listed the supraphonic on CL this morn for $250 and the 15" new beat for $175. If I can sell these Ill be in the rogers for $25 lol Plus the humes and berg cases and the camco pedal. What are the cases worth? They are in very good condition. I called the guy and hes gonna see if his cousin (the guy he bought them from) Still has the original swivo hardware.

The Big R Hardware is actually pretty cool. Its big and has memory locks on it. It would be really easy to set up at a gig. It still looks good with my collection. At least I have a rogers kit now. Now I need a good vintage slingy kit.
